Whether you use an Amazon Kindle or ebook run the Kindle app on a computer or mobile device, KDP it can be hard to manage all the ebooks you've collected and the devices you've connected to your account. The good news is that Amazon offers a dedicated web page where you can view, delete, and otherwise manage all your ebooks and devices. Sign into Amazon's Manage Your Content and Devices(Opens in a new window) page and click the Content heading at the top. You'll see different categories, including books, audiobooks, apps, and video. For ebooks, click the icon for Books. You can change the content being displayed by clicking the drop-down arrow for the View menu and selecting a different category. Click the drop-down menu for All to narrow the results to purchased books, loaned books, borrowed books, and more. To manage a book's availability on a specific device, click the button for Deliver or remove from device. Select the device for which you want to send or remove the book. Then click the button for Make changes. After you've read a book, Amazon marks it as read, but you can change that status, especially if you wish to read it again. Click the button for Mark as unread. On the flip side, you can mark an unread book as read by clicking the button for Mark as read. If you borrowed a book from a subscription service like Kindle Unlimited or electronically through your local library, a button for Return this book appears. Click that button. Once returned, the book is removed from your Kindle devices and content page. To further manage a single title, click the More actions button next to it. Click Delete to remove the title from your account and from the Kindle content page. Select Download & transfer via USB to manually transfer the title to a Kindle device through a USB cable. Note that this works only with supported Kindle devices, not with third-party devices equipped with the Kindle app. Select Clear Furthest Page Read if you want to resume reading a book from the beginning. Select Read Now to open the book on your computer in the Kindle app. Select Add or Remove from Collection if you’ve created or want to create collections to organize your books. For example, you could create one collection for non-fiction and another for fiction. Or you could create one collection for historical non-fiction, another collection for science fiction, and maybe a third for autobiographies. You can then add or remove a book in a specific collection. Select Purchase Audible Audiobook to buy the audio version of the selected ebook. Select Order Details to see the details on a book you purchased.
Select Gift Now to send the book as a gift to someone. Add an email address and a personalized message and click Place your order to make the purchase and send the gift. Select Loan this title to temporarily share a book with someone outside your account’s linked devices. Enter the person’s email address and add a message to send. This method works even if the receiving person doesn’t have a Kindle device. The ebook will be shared through email, amazon ebooks and the recipient will have 14 days to read the title before it’s automatically returned to you. Note, however, that not every book will offer the option to loan. If you don’t see this option for a specific book, the publisher has likely restricted sharing. Select Manage Family Library if you’ve set up a family library for your Kindle content and want to share a title with someone in your family.
